About Us
Dr. Timothy Boots, O.D.
Dr. Boots first became interested in eye care after suffering a retinal detachment from an injury in gym class during his junior year in high school. After a summer internship at a local optical shop, he decided to obtain training as a certified optician. He continued to work as an optician throughout undergraduate and graduate schooling. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Visual Science in 1991 and a Doctor of Optometry summa cum laude at the Illinois College of Optometry in 1993. His personality is best described as “compassionate,” “caring,” and “crazy.” He enjoys architecture, interior decorating, piano, and spending what little free time he has with his wife and three children.
Michele O., Operations Manager
Michele joined our practice in 2007 after completing her internship with us to earn her medical coding certification. She knew nothing about optics back then, but that quickly changed. What started as a temporary position blossomed into a lifelong passion for eyecare.
Since then, she’s become the heartbeat of our practice. In 2022, Michele earned her Certified Paraoptometric certification, adding technical expertise to her already impressive insurance and billing knowledge. She works magic with insurance companies, making sure our patients get every benefit they’re entitled to.
More about Michele
You’ll find Michele doing a bit of everything: assisting Dr. Boots, helping patients find that perfect pair of glasses, and mentoring our team. She has this incredible gift for connecting with anyone about anything. Seriously, put her in a room with a stranger, and within minutes they’ll be chatting like old friends.
When she’s not keeping our practice running like a well-oiled machine, Michele’s usually quilting, tackling a puzzle, or heading to the Tennessee mountains with her husband, Bill. Their idea of a perfect date night? A trip to Costco on Friday night, and that’s just one of the many things we love about her.
